Job summary

South32 is hiring a Core Yard Technician to support production and exploration outcomes. You will manage core yard preparation, storage and sample handling on an 8:6 roster with FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa and McKinlay shires. The role requires strong data discipline and collaboration with drilling contractors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diamond drilling and sampling practices within the mining industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain core yard, equipment and storage systems.
• Coordinate sample dispatch and laboratory submissions.
• Liaise with drilling contractors on sample standards.
• Track inventory, consumables and sample records.
