Job summary

Leading Gold Mining Operator WA in Western Australia seeks a Core Yard Technician to support site-based geology and exploration programs. You will receive, handle, and organise drill core samples, prep core trays, and assist with sample dispatch on site.

The role requires experience in core yard or mining environments, a strong safety focus, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. FIFO from Perth is preferred. Immediate start and a competitive hourly rate offered.

Responsibilities

• Receive, handle, and organise drill core samples.
• Core tray preparation, labelling, and storage.
• Cut and sampling drill core per site procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient core yard.
• Assist geologists with sample dispatch and data collection.
• Operate core saws and other core yard equipment.
• Manual handling and lifting of core trays.
• Support daily geology and exploration activities as required.
