Job summary

South32 is offering a permanent Engineer Scheduling position with an 8:6 FIFO roster from Brisbane, Townsville/Cairns, or DIDO from several shire locations. You will deliver rolling 13W plans to ensure safe, efficient and profitable orebody extraction, while identifying risks and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include budgeting support, providing schedule guidance for mine design, and communicating risks with mitigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering-Mining or equivalent.
• Experience in underground mining scheduling is preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rolling 13W plans to support safe, efficient mining operations.
• Provide schedule guidance for mine design and execution decisions.
• Identify volume and grade uplift opportunities and drive actions.
• Communicate plan and execution risks with mitigations.
• Partner with mine-wide teams to inform plans and optimise outcomes.
