We are seeking motivated and experienced Line Chefs to join our FIFO team. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic environment.

THE POSITION:

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes to high standards, considering dietary requirements and guest preferences.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, following Compass Group Australia food safety protocols, including knowledge of HACCP principles.
• Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all food.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage service efficiently during busy periods.

THE PERSON:

• A minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Certificate is essential.
• Proven track record working in high-volume kitchens, preferably in upscale restaurants, village kitchens or hotels.
• A strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and flavour combinations.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ideally in remote site kitchens.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure dishes are prepared to the highest standards, following recipe plating guidelines accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques in high-volume catering.
