Compass Group Pty Limited in South Australia is seeking trade-qualified chefs for Heathgate Beverley Village. This Full-Time role involves bulk cooking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and desserts, within a team of kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals to village residents. You will follow food safety practices and help minimize wastage while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Job description

ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

Due to anticipated growth on our Heathgate Beverley Village in South Australia, we have exciting opportunities for trade qualified chefs.

• 14 days on 7 days off - 11 hours per day
• Full-Time salary $101,771 + superannuation
• Accommodation/ meals Provided whilst at work
• Flights provided from Adelaide or Port Augusta on a Fly In Fly out basis

The Position:

• Bulk cooking experience & Cert 111 Commercial Cookery required
• Prepare buffet style bulk cooking for Breakfast and Crib lunch, or Dinner and Desserts
• You will work within a team of Chefs, kitchen utilities & dining room employees to deliver exceptional quality and service to the village residents
• Adhere to safe work practices and safe food handling procedures
• Ensure all catering controls are in place & wastage is kept to the minimum
• Offer guidance and supportto the kitchen team where needed, to ensure a great experience for all customers
• Enhance workplace culture – display high levels of customer service, contribute ideas and be flexible to meet the needs of the business

The Person:

• Strong team player with the ability to multitask in a high-paced environment
• Trade certified chef holding a minimum Cert 111 Commercial Cookery
• Experience within bulk catering/ cooking environments
• Excellent knowledge of all kitchen procedures & operations
• Must have a National Police Clearancewithin the last 12 month
• Must provide valid Passport or Birth Certificate + Photo ID
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
