Job summary

Cater Care is seeking a Chef for FIFO assignments across Australia. You’ll handle food preparation and presentation across meals, ensure dietary requirements are met, and maintain high food safety standards in a high-volume setting.

This role offers hands-on experience in menu management and large-scale production, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and flexible roster patterns typical of FIFO positions.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (high volume bulk cookery experience is highly regarded but is not essential).
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and presentation (breakfast, crib, dinner, dessert and functions).
• Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, special requests).
• Ensure compliance with our Food Safety Program.
• Assist with stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking.
• Maintain a clean kitchen, equipment and utensils.
• Adherence to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices.
• Fast, effective service provided with a smile.
• Assisting the broader team as required.
• Demonstrate a strong safety culture aligned with Cater Care Safety Commitments.
