Job summary

The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) in Bright, VIC is seeking a Forest and Fire Operations Officer - Field Team Leader to drive forest management, fire prevention and emergency response across Victoria's estates.

You will lead work groups, coordinate operations, plan and direct a wide range of activities, and contribute to public safety and environmental conservation. Applicants must hold a current manual Driver's Licence.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field work delivery teams.
• Knowledge of natural resource management and forest operations.
• Ability to achieve Crew Leader/Operations Officer Level 1 accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Lead field work delivery teams and coordinate operations.
• Plan, direct and coordinate a wide range of activities across multiple work centres.
• Contribute to forest management, fire prevention and emergency response across Victoria.
• Support pre-employment screening and safety operational requirements.
