Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Product Specialist for Mackay, QLD to embed with customers and maximise Sandvik equipment performance, safety and uptime. You will diagnose complex issues, coach maintenance teams, and relay field feedback to product and engineering groups.

The role requires seven years’ post-trade underground mining experience, a Mechanical Trade Certificate, and strong communication skills to manage client relationships and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years’ post-trade experience in Underground Mining.
• Experience delivering technical training to maintenance personnel and operators.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal capability, especially in customer-facing situations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality on-site technical support to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Build strong relationships with customers to promote loyalty to the Sandvik brand.
• Provide technical coaching to service network on operation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
• Lead root cause analyses and assist with warranty-related investigations.
• Analyse downtime data and collaborate with planners to improve fleet performance.
