Job summary

SMW Group is seeking an experienced Structural Shutdown Supervisor to lead structural, fabrication and mechanical work fronts across CHPP shutdowns and major maintenance projects in the Bowen Basin. You will own scopes, organise crews and drive safe execution from mobilisation through handback.

Essentially you will supervise shutdown activities, coordinate permits and ensure readiness of labour, materials and equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety and high standards of workmanship in a

Qualifications

• Experience supervising shutdowns in CHPP, fixed plant or mineral processing environments.
• Strong structural and fabrication knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret structural/fabrication drawings and work packs.

Responsibilities

• Own allocated shutdown scopes from mobilisation to handback.
• Supervise structural, fabrication and mechanical crews across CHPP shutdowns.
• Coordinate permits, isolations, and safe access for each work front.
• Monitor progress and communicate delays or risks early.
• Maintain safety, quality and workmanship to inspect and handback.
