Job summary

Linkforce is seeking experienced Leading Hands and Supervisors to lead a close-knit team delivering structural remediation and maintenance for CHPP sites in the Bowen Basin. This casual role runs on a long-term 7/7 roster with an October start, based in Queensland.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years in Shutdown leadership, a recognised heavy fabrication or mechanical fitting trade, and relevant safety competencies. Ongoing work with competitive rosters and site support is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years leadership experience in Shutdown as Leading Hand or Supervisor.
• Heavy Fabrication or Mechanical Fitting trade qualification recognised in AU/NZ.
• G1/8/9 & G2 supervisor competencies.
• Working at Heights & Confined Space within 2 years.
• Standard 11 or willingness to obtain.
• Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain.
• BMA Core Inductions or SC Number advantageous.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence - C class minimum.
• Clear communication and people skills.
• Ability to work with site management and clients.
• Uncompromising commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise works to meet client and company specs.
• Lead a team of trade and non-trade personnel to deliver key outputs.
• Liaise with clients and site personnel.
• Plan and schedule work and labour requirements.
• Monitor progress against the work schedule.
• Lead by example on tools and promote safety and quality.
• Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and HSEQ standards.
