Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Compressor Systems & Services is seeking a Service Technician - Mechanical in Newcastle to perform complete mechanical repair, overhaul and preventive maintenance on compressed air equipment and related products. You will troubleshoot, service on-site at customer locations, and maintain detailed service documentation.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, ability to work in challenging environments, and a proactive customer-service approach.

Qualifications

Experience in a Maintenance field service environment.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Australian Manual Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

Identify problems in air compressors and generators through troubleshooting; perform repairs to rectify issues and ensure functionality.
Conduct scheduled maintenance: inspect, clean, lubricate, replace filter kit, change oil, clean oil/air coolers, re-grease motors.
Provide technical assistance to customers on mechanical systems of air compressors and generators.
Maintain accurate service records, diagnoses, repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used; complete reports and permits timely.
Adhere to safety protocols; complete Job Hazard Analysis (JSA); wear PPE; maintain clean, organized work area.
Travel within Australia and internationally as required; work indoors and outdoors in varying environments; overtime/weekend work may be required.
