Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair and servicing of compressed air equipment across diverse sites in Australia. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, carry out preventive maintenance, and complete accurate service reports.

Travel to customer sites across Australia and internationally as required, working in challenging environments from construction sites to industrial facilities, while upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance field service environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Australian Manual Drivers Licence.
• Excellent customer service ability.
• Experience with Pneumatic Equipment.
• Skills in fault finding in compressed air equipment.
• Be an excellent team player.
• Ability to work in a busy dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify problems in air compressors and generators through troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform repairs to rectify issues and ensure equipment functionality.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance of electrical systems.
• Provide technical assistance to customers regarding mechanical systems and usage.
• Maintain accurate service records, diagnoses, repairs and parts used; complete reports and documentation.
