Job summary

Bosch Rexroth in Mackay, QLD is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to support heavy industry by delivering on-site service, fault diagnosis, installation, and maintenance of Hagglunds hydraulic drive systems. You will work with complex hydraulic circuits and rotating equipment where safety and precision are critical.

The role emphasises hands-on problem solving, strong customer focus, and the ability to carry out reporting, coordination with customers, and adherence to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience in field service and maintenance of hydraulic systems, ideally within heavy industry environments.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuits, components, and diagnostics under load and pressure.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests with on-site inspections and hydraulic fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Install, commission and modernise large hydraulic drive systems including motors and controls.
• Diagnose hydraulic issues such as pressure, flow, contamination, leakage and wear with root cause analysis.
• Prepare clear service reports with findings, actions and recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with customers on-site, advise on repairs and upgrade opportunities.
• Coordinate ordering, installation and verification of hydraulic components and maintain records.
