Job summary

Toyota Material Handling Australia in Adelaide is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. You will travel to customer sites within a 45 minute radius of your home, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operating safely.

You will work independently with backing of a national network, build strong customer relationships and maintain accurate service records while staying compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to work autonomously in the field and manage own workload.
• Strong communication with customers and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Attend breakdowns and respond to customer service requirements.
• Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide professional technical support.
• Work closely with the Adelaide Branch and our wider service network.

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Adelaide Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the road, working directly with customers and having the freedom to manage their own day.

What will you be doing?

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for keeping our customers' equipment operating safely and efficiently. Your day will involve travelling to customer sites throughout a designated area within a 45 minute radius of your home.

• Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Attend breakdowns and respond to customer service requirements
• Complete preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation

• Manage your daily schedule while working autonomously in the field

What are we looking for?

We're looking for a technician who is practical, customer-focused and enjoys solving problems.

You’ll Ideally Have

• A relevant mechanical trade qualification - Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Vehicle, Automotive or equivalent
• Experience working on mobile plant, forklifts, heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery or similar equipment
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic diagnostic skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A current driver's licence
• A strong commitment to safety and quality

Forklift experience is highly regarded, but not essential. If you have experience working on other types of mobile equipment and have the right attitude and technical capability, we'd love to hear from you.
