Allight Pty Ltd is seeking a Field Service Technician / Diesel Mechanic based in Bethania, Queensland. You will service and repair diesel-powered equipment, diagnose faults and complete job reports, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson with a mechanical trade (Diesel, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle or similar).
• Current driver's licence is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

The Role

Based in Bethania and reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of a range of diesel-powered equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and repairing generators, lighting towers, pumps and diesel engines
• Diagnosing mechanical and engine-related faults
• Completing equipment rebuilds and overhauls
• Preparing service reports and maintenance documentation
• Conducting commissioning, testing and equipment inspections
• Providing technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with qualified tradespeople who take pride in their work and enjoy solving technical challenges.

You’ll bring:

• Mechanical trade qualification (Diesel, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle or similar)
• Current driver's licence
• Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills
• Experience servicing diesel-powered equipment (highly regarded)
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Basic computer skills for service reporting and documentation
• A positive, customer-focused attitude

Don’t have extensive generator experience? No problem. If you have strong mechanical foundations and the right attitude, we’ll provide product-specific training.
