Job summary

Total Generator Solutions Pty Ltd, a Sydney-based family-owned business, is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on diesel and gas generators at client sites across Sydney and regional NSW.

You will work autonomously in the field, carrying out routine service tasks, diagnostics, and reports, with a strong emphasis on safety, workmanship, and on-time delivery. NSW driver license and trade qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent
• Experience with diesel generator maintenance
• Current NSW Driver's License (essential)
• Ability to work independently on-site and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Commitment to WHS and safe work practices

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on diesel generators
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
• Conduct pre- and post-service test runs
• Complete detailed service reports and maintenance records
• Liaise with site representatives and clients on-site
• Comply with SWMS, LOTO, and PPE standards
