Adecco Australia Group is seeking Field Service Technicians for a field-based role covering Melbourne's data centres, commercial facilities and critical infrastructure. You will commission, service and maintain UPS and other critical power equipment, ensuring safety and compliance on every site.
The role emphasizes independent field work, fault diagnosis, and detailed documentation, with on-call duties and opportunities to develop specialist expertise in critical power environments.
We are recruiting Field Service Technicians to join a leading organisation within the critical power and electrical infrastructure sector in Melbourne.
Working predominantly in the field, you will support customers across data centres, commercial facilities and other critical infrastructure environments. You'll be responsible for the commissioning, testing, servicing and maintenance of critical power equipment once it has been installed.
You will be a qualified electrician with a background in industrial or technically complex electrical environments.
Ideally, you'll bring experience in the following:
More importantly, you'll be safety-focused, technically capable and comfortable working independently in the field. This is an environment where procedures and safety protocols matter, so we're looking for people who take pride in doing things properly.
This is a field-based Melbourne position , rather than a role where you'll be expected to spend every day in an office.
The main customer locations are across Tullamarine, Truganina, Port Melbourne and Geelong, with the office based in the southeast of Melbourne primarily used for training and induction.
Travel time is paid as standard. There may also be occasional interstate travel depending on project requirements, but the position is predominantly focused on servicing the Victorian market.
For an experienced UPS technician, this is an opportunity to work across complex critical power environments and major projects while joining a business offering strong employment conditions and long-term career opportunities.
For an industrial electrician looking to move into UPS and critical power, it offers the chance to develop a genuine technical specialisation. You'll receive extensive on-the-job training while gaining exposure to sophisticated power systems and some of Melbourne's major data centre and critical infrastructure environments.
