Job summary

Position Partners seeks a hands-on Field Technician to install, commission, maintain and support advanced machine control and site solutions across customer projects in Queensland. You will work closely with customers and project teams to ensure reliable, value-adding technology deployments.

Expect varied days—from installing 3D machine control on construction equipment to troubleshooting onsite, training customers, and supporting major infrastructure projects across QLD.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in auto electrical, heavy diesel or light vehicle mechanics.
• Experience with machine control systems or construction technology is advantageous.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain machine control and site technology solutions.
• Configure and calibrate equipment for optimal performance and accuracy.
• Support 2D/3D machine control, payload weighing, and safety tech.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and system issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Deliver on-site training and technical support to customers.
• Provide onsite, workshop, remote, and phone support as needed.
• Build strong customer relationships with excellent service.
• Complete service docs and installation records accurately.
• Travel throughout Queensland with a company vehicle.
