Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is looking for a Field Service Technician to service compressors and related equipment across Australia. You will perform breakdowns, maintenance, and support to ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on technical ability, strong problem-solving skills, and the drive to mentor others on best practices. This is an on-site field position with regional travel likely.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications: Cert III - Fitter and Turner with 5+ years maintenance experience.
• Experience with compressors or similar equipment required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide breakdown, maintenance & repair for compressors and ancillary equipment.
• Attend after-hours call outs and overnight service as rostered.
• Promote maintenance plans and sign up customers.
• Provide customer support for assigned equipment (internal and external).
• Complete all documentation and timesheets daily.
• Pass sales leads onto the sales team.
• Achieve weekly and monthly productivity targets.
• Ensure equipment and premises are clean and presentable.
• Mentor and train new and existing colleagues.
