Job summary

Coates in Moranbah is seeking a hands-on Field Service Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of equipment, from earthmoving gear to generators. You’ll diagnose issues in the field and workshop and support customers to keep sites safe and productive.

Ideal candidates hold relevant trade qualifications, with petrol/diesel, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical skills. A safety-focused mindset and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified mechanic with relevant licences.
• Experience with petrol/diesel, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic electrical skills.
• Forklift and EWP tickets are advantageous; coal mine site compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair equipment in field and workshop.
• Support customers with breakdowns and ensure equipment is safe and ready.
• Work independently while backed by a supportive team.
• Uphold Coates safety, service and reliability standards.
