Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd in Emerald, CQ, is seeking a Field Service Fitter to join our award-winning team on a permanent basis with flexible rosters including 7/7, 9-day fortnight, or a 4-day week.

You will complete repairs and maintenance on CAT machinery, plan daily service work, and ensure accurate paperwork while maintaining the highest WHS standards. A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel between customer sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications include Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent diesel fitter trade.
• CAT machinery knowledge and diagnostic tooling experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical/electrical/hydraulic faults.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.
• Site vaccination requirements (Q Fever, hepatitis A and B) or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and maintenance safely and promptly.
• Plan and organise daily service requirements.
• Maintain and complete all paperwork for job completion.
• Uphold high WHS standards on site.
