Job summary

TOMRA Food is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver high quality mechanical service, ensuring machine performance and great customer experiences. You will install, commission, test, and maintain systems, diagnose issues, and perform preventative maintenance across customer sites, while communicating clearly with customers and internal teams.

The role requires 3+ years in field service, a mechanical/electrical trade or equivalent, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Industrial trade qualification or equivalent degree/diploma.
• 3+ years experience as field service engineer or similar.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Proficient in PC building and diagnostic testing.
• Good written/verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical systems meet customer expectations.
• Respond to field issues promptly and communicate plan/costs.
• Install, commission, test, integrate, maintain and repair machines.
• Inspect service components (sprockets, chains, belts, bearings, gearboxes).
• Diagnose equipment issues and drive resolution.
• Perform preventative maintenance and pre/post-season servicing.
• Maintain updates with sales leadership and CCC team.
• Address customer complaints professionally and timely.
• Promote a safety-first culture at all times.
