Job summary

Medtronic seeks a Field Service Engineer to service Cardiac Ablation Solutions Affera systems and Surgical Robotics in Western Australia and parts of South Australia. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and on-site technical support for clinicians and biomedical staff.

Based in Perth, you will travel to hospitals, install and validate equipment, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Customer Care teams to ensure reliable performance and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
• 2+ years in engineering, field service, or medical equipment support.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel ~30% across WA/SA.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on Affera and Surgical Robotics systems.
• Install, commission, validate, and decommission capital medical equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose complex issues and provide on-site technical support to clinicians and engineers.
• Maintain service records and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Support product upgrades and equipment lifecycle management.
