Job summary

Rap Scan Systems in Australia is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair and maintain the Checkpoint & Trace systems at customer sites across the region. You will work closely with clients to ensure SLAs are met and will report on-site activities and issues.

The role requires at least two years in a similar role, a solid Electrical/Electronic background, and the ability to work independently with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in a similar field service role.
• Electrical/Electronic background preferred.

• Willingness for after-hours support.
• Must be Australian citizen.
• Proficient PC literacy and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Installation of the full range of the company’s Checkpoint & Trace products at customer sites.
• Routine preventative and breakdown maintenance of the company’s equipment at customer sites.
• Provide out-of-hour standby cover as part of established teams.
• Carry out basic Operator and Technical training when required at customer sites.
• Carry out site surveys and advise customers on technical matters prior to installations.
• Complete all reporting requirements, both internal and customer based, in a timely manner.
• Comply with all QA and HSE requirements, as stipulated by Rap Scan Systems and relevant legislation.
• Travel as required.
• Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
• Report quality problems or defects to manager or senior management to enable corrective action and prevent recurrence.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) has overall technical responsibility for ensuring that sites meet all contracted Service Level Agreements (SLA). The FSE executes routine work as required, which includes installation, repair and maintenance of the full range of Rap Scan’s Checkpoint & Trace products in Australia and New Zealand. The FSE also has responsibility for the quality of all project and service work to meet specific client requirements within the scope of the statement of work.
