Job summary

Tefol Pty Ltd seeks a skilled Field Service Boilermaker to operate across client sites in the Newcastle region, with occasional workshop work at our Rutherford facility during quieter periods.

You will perform MIG, TIG and Stick welding to a high standard, interpret drawings, and maintain equipment and records while upholding safety and client relations across multiple sites in the Hunter region.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Boilermaking (Statement of Attainment).
• Experience with MIG, TIG and Stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Strong time management and reliability.
• Commitment to safe work practices and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site-based boilermaking and maintenance tasks (Maritime experience valued).
• Perform workshop duties at Tefol when needed.
• MIG, Stick, and TIG welding to a high standard.
• Prepare and paint components and equipment.
• Assist with mechanical fitting tasks when required.
• Maintain accurate daily records of work performed.
• Liaise with clients professionally and relay requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment and vehicle to high standard.
• Adhere to site safety requirements and procedures.

About the Role

Tefol is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Boilermaker to join our team. This role is primarily based on client sites across the Newcastle region, with workshop duties performed at our Tefol facility during periods of low site activity.

As a front-line company representative, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining strong client relationships and upholding company standards.

Key Duties:

• Carry out site-based boilermaking and maintenance tasks (Maritime experience highly regarded)
• Perform workshop duties at Tefol as required
• MIG, Stick, and TIG welding to a high standard
• Preparation and painting of components and equipment
• Assist with mechanical fitting tasks when required
• Maintain accurate and detailed daily records of work performed
• Liaise directly with clients in a professional manner
• Communicate customer requirements and feedback to your direct supervisor
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle to the highest standard
• Adhere to all site safety requirements and company procedures

About you

• Appropriate trade qualifications in Boilermaking (Statement of Attainment)
• Experience in MIG, TIG and Stick
• A demonstrated high level welding ability in heavy/light steel fabrication and repairs
• Proven capacity to problem solve with excellent time management skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawingsStrong commitment to safe work practices and pride in workmanship
• Strong commitment to timekeeping and reliability
• Ability to professionally engage with client and other stakeholders
