Job summary

Matthews Australasia is seeking a Field Service & Installation Technician to install, maintain and support industrial equipment, software, and data capture systems at customer sites across NSW. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and training to keep operations running smoothly.

Join a supportive team with access to ongoing product and technical training, contribute to improvements, and travel as required while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service, equipment maintenance, installation, or technical support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Qualifications in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or related discipline preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to maximise reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with a strong first-time fix rate.
• Train customer operators on equipment use and best practices.
• Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Manage vehicle stock and spare parts inventory.
• Provide technical feedback to support product and process improvements.
• Participate in an after-hours support roster and occasional regional travel.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
