Job summary

Xylem is seeking a proactive Field Sales professional to achieve sales objectives across mining and industrial markets in the Mount Isa region. You will promote Xylem products, visit customers, deliver technical guidance, and build strategic relationships with consultants, contractors, and business managers, while maintaining accurate CRM records.

You will collaborate across sales and support functions, support marketing initiatives, and ensure pricing policies and EHS/QA standards are met to

Qualifications

• Experience in external sales, with exposure to mining and industrial markets highly regarded.
• Sound understanding of sales principles, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing techniques.
• Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to respond to changing customer needs and market conditions, while managing priorities effectively across a field-based territory.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft applications, supported by relevant technical knowledge and market awareness.

Responsibilities

• Implement territory sales plans with the Sales Manager to achieve sales objectives and drive growth across assigned mining and industrial markets.
• Conduct regular customer visits, provide product advice and technical guidance, and deliver engineering-based solutions that meet customer needs.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities using market intelligence, tender pipelines, and future construction leads.
• Prepare sales orders, maintain accurate CRM records, contribute to sales meetings, and provide timely reports and customer updates.
• Build strategic relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, while acting as a trusted advisor on technical and service queries.
• Support business growth through marketing initiatives, exhibitions, and trade shows, while adhering to pricing policies and EHS and QA standards.
