Job summary
Xylem is seeking a commercially minded Business Development Specialist to grow the Water Solutions business across WA, NT and SA. You will build long-term partnerships with mining, industrial, power, and municipal customers and collaborate with engineering consultants and EPCs to drive opportunities.
The role focuses on identifying customer needs, shaping value propositions, and contributing to strategic market development across multiple regions.
Qualifications
- Experience building relationships with customers and partners across mining, industrial, and municipal sectors.
- Ability to identify opportunities and articulate value propositions to senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial thinking and ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture strong relationships across your assigned segment and region.
- Identify and develop opportunities that support business growth and customer success.
- Partner with consulting engineers, specifiers, project stakeholders and industry networks.
- Lead engagement activities with Engineering Consultancy Firms and EPC organisations.
- Collaborate with sales teams to generate and convert high-quality opportunities.
- Gather and share customer, market and competitor insights to inform business strategy.
- Develop customer-focused value propositions, sales tools and market development plans.
- Represent Xylem at industry events, customer meetings and sector forums.
