Job summary

Aggreko plc in Australia is seeking a Power Station Operator to monitor, operate, maintain and repair power generation equipment at customer sites. This dedicated role services one major client and involves travel directly to sites.

You will ensure safety compliance, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, respond rapidly to emergencies, and keep meticulous records for reporting to the Field Delivery Manager while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a WA A Grade Electrical License.
• Minimum of 1–3 years' experience working with power generation equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety.
• HV switching highly desirable.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures and promote a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
• Repair and maintain power generation equipment at customer sites, ensuring all safety protocols are followed and equipment is fully operational.
• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance of power generation equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing faults as they arise.
• Respond to emergency repair calls and breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal downtime for the customer.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labour hours, and expenses, and provide detailed reports to the Field Delivery Manager.
• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and communicating effectively with customers to ensure their needs are met.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
