Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Power Station Operator to monitor, operate, maintain and repair power generation equipment at client sites across Western Australia. This dedicated role involves travel to sites and servicing a major client directly on site.

You will work within a safety-first framework, perform preventative and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot faults, keep precise records and report to the Field Delivery Manager. A WA A Grade Electrical License and a valid Driver’s License are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with WA A Grade Electrical License.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Minimum of 1–3 years' experience with power generation equipment.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety policies and promote a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
• Repair and maintain power generation equipment at customer sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed and equipment is fully operational.
• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance of power generation equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosing faults as they arise.
• Respond to emergency repair calls and breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime for the customer.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, labour hours and expenses; provide detailed reports to the Field Delivery Manager.
• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and communicating effectively with customers.
• Participate in safety meetings and training programs.
