Job summary

Bechtel is delivering EPC scope for the Eva Copper Process Plant and Non-Process Infrastructure in Queensland. The Piping Discipline Field Engineer reports to the Lead Piping Field Engineer and oversees construction engineering in piping, including installation, fabrication, material verification and field direction.

You will support Superintendents in developing work scope packages and cost estimates for piping aspects, and mentor junior piping field engineers on site at the Eva Copper Mine

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science required or international equivalent.
• 8–14 years of relevant experience depending on seniority.
• Knowledge of piping modularization, piping racks, and testing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues for underground and above-ground piping installation and pipe supports.
• Prepare, maintain and update IWPs through TeamWorks and Book Builder, ensuring package readiness and schedule compliance.
• Manage design/engineering/construction interface, including RFIs and FDCs.
• Specify piping criteria for temporary construction facilities as required.
• Manage distribution of construction materials to the field.
• Develop and manage piping construction quality documentation.
• Develop and recommend piping installation procedures with Field Supervision.
• Coordinate activities to ensure piping materials, equipment and quality meet design plans.
