Job summary

Optus is seeking a senior leader to drive the Field Operations transformation through digitisation, automation, and advanced planning capabilities. You will shape modern, data‑driven operating models and lead cross‑functional teams across Networks, OSS, Digital and Field to deliver integrated solutions.

You will establish a Field Operations Control Tower, optimise demand management, scheduling, and workforce utilisation, and strengthen resilience, fault response, and customer outcomes through

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in telecommunications or asset-intensive industries.
• Proven track record leading enterprise-scale digital transformation programs.
• Strong planning, orchestration, and systems-thinking capabilities.
• Ability to balance operational performance, customer outcomes, risk, safety and cost.
• Significant experience in technical planning, service management, and enterprise-governed operating environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Field Operations transformation roadmap with digitisation, automation, and predictive capabilities.
• Establish and mature a Field Operations Planning & Orchestration (Control Tower) capability to optimise demand management, workflow, scheduling, and workforce utilisation.
• Partner with Networks, OSS, Digital, and Automation teams to deliver integrated technology solutions shaping roadmaps.
• Drive systems integration across workforce, network, asset, and workflow platforms with automation-first, data-driven decisions.
• Define performance frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability and service reliability.
• Strengthen operational resilience through business continuity, incident response, and capacity planning across field domains.
• Provide strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement, championing innovation and alignment with transformation objectives.
