Job summary

Clarence Valley Council is seeking a Field Operator (Trades Assistant Facilities) to perform hands-on maintenance and improvements across council facilities in the Clarence Valley. You will work as part of the Facilities team on painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, and minor construction tasks at multiple sites.

Ideal candidates hold a MR licence and White Card, enjoy practical work, and can contribute to delivering quality outcomes for the community.

What You Need To Know...

• permanent full time - 76 hours per fortnight
• the package: $58,375 to $69,614 plus superannuation per annum

About The Role

The Field Operator (Trades Assistant Facilities) plays a hands-on role in maintaining and improving Council's diverse range of buildings and community facilities. Working as part of the Facilities team, the position undertakes a variety of general building maintenance and minor construction activities, including painting, carpentry assistance, basic plumbing maintenance, repairs and other practical works.

This is a varied role working across Council facilities throughout the Clarence Valley and is ideally suited to someone who enjoys practical work, working as part of a team and taking pride in delivering quality outcomes for the community.

This position is located at Council's Rushforth Road Works Depot however, this may change should business needs identify other work locations to be more appropriate to deliver our services in the future. A probation period applies to this position.
