Job summary

Clarence Valley Council is seeking a Curator, Exhibitions and Collections for Grafton Regional Gallery. You will develop and deliver exhibitions, manage collections, and run public programs in collaboration with a dynamic team and partners.

The role requires experience in exhibition development, curation and collection management, with strong communication and relationship-building skills. A flexible work arrangement and the chance to contribute to regional visual arts are offered.

About the role

Clarence Valley Council is currently recruiting for the role of Curator, Exhibitions and Collections withGrafton Regional Gallery. Join Grafton Regional Gallery, one of regional NSW’s iconic public galleries,and help shape a dynamic and engaging visual arts program for the Clarence Valley. As CuratorExhibitions and Collections, you will work closely with the Regional Gallery Director to deliver a diverseprogram of exhibitions, collection projects, public programs, and major initiatives, including thenationally recognised JADA exhibition. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and collaborativecurator who enjoys building meaningful connections between artists, audiences, stakeholders, andcommunity.

We are seeking an experienced arts professional with a strong background in exhibition development, curation, and collection management, combined with excellent communication and relationship-buildingskills. The successful candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multipleprojects while working constructively with colleagues, artists, community groups, funding bodies, andindustry partners. If you are passionate about contemporary visual arts, regional cultural development,

and creating exceptional visitor experiences through collaboration and innovation, we encourage youto apply.
