Job summary

BSA is an Australian-owned technical services company with more than 20 years’ experience delivering critical infrastructure solutions. We’re looking for an experienced Field Supervisor to join our Electrical Services team in Lidcombe.

This hands‑on leadership role oversees day‑to‑day field operations, supports technicians and contractors, and ensures safe, compliant and high‑quality delivery across our smart metering projects.

Qualifications

• A Grade Electrical licence.
• Extensive experience in the metering industry.
• Strong knowledge of smart metering and field service operations.
• Understanding of NER changes and Type 1–4 meter rollouts.
• Experience managing or supervising field teams and contractors.
• Strong technical problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and respond effectively to operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations of employees and contractors across projects/regions.
• Provide on-site technical support, guidance and supervision to field technicians and contractors.
• Conduct quality and documentation checks to meet standards.
• Monitor field performance against service levels and KPIs.
• Provide solutions to complex technical issues and failed visits.
• Inform Operations Manager of daily matters like workforce availability.
• Communicate delays and impacts to stakeholders.
• Represent the company to clients and support relationships.
• Support onboarding of contractors and assist with technical training.
• Manage workforce availability, stock distribution and field materials.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure procedures are followed and identify improvement opportunities.
• Respond to customer complaints promptly.
• Undertake installations and service calls when required.
