• Basic analytical capability to identify unusual consumption patterns or irregularities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of metering equipment to ensure correct operation and identify faults or irregularities.
• Record meter data accurately using handheld/mobile systems.
• Identify and elevate issues such as damaged equipment, access limitations, or potential tampering.
• Perform authorised adjustments or updates to metering setups where required.
• Manage customer supply status changes in accordance with instructions.
• Coordinate site access with property stakeholders including building and strata managers.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams regarding site conditions and changes.
• Represent the business in a professional manner when attending customer or shared facilities.
• Participate in occasional after-hours work as required (overtime applicable).

We deliver specialist electricity and water metering solutions within embedded network environments, supporting a diverse range of customers.

An opportunity is now available for a motivated Field Metering Technician to join our team, servicing sites across South East Queensland.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Technician to support our metering operations. This role involves working independently across multiple sites, ensuring accurate data collection, maintaining metering equipment, and supporting customer and stakeholder interactions.

The works are mainly carried out in Commercial Shopping Centres and Apartment Buildings, and you will be provided with a fully maintained company vehicle, mobile phone, company apparel and appropriate tools. We will provide training and induction including on-site visits.

Key Responsibilities
