Job summary

WholesaleComms is based in Maroochydore and seeks a skilled IT technician to install, configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, wireless networks and related equipment for business clients.

You will install and support business phone systems, diagnose faults, provide remote assistance, and maintain accurate customer records while delivering clear, professional technical advice. This is permanent, full-time work with a company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone provided.

• Genuine interest in IT, networking and telecommunications.
• Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Reliability, initiative and the ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience or qualifications in IT, networking or telecommunications (highly regarded).
• Knowledge of computer networks, routers, switches and wireless equipment (highly regarded).

Responsibilities

• Installing, configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, wireless networks and associated equipment.
• Installing and supporting business phone systems, including IP handsets and cloud‑based solutions.
• Diagnosing and resolving internet, network, Wi‑Fi and phone system faults.
• Attending customer premises for installations, service calls and equipment upgrades.
• Providing remote technical support and troubleshooting.
• Assisting with business internet and NBN service provisioning and fault resolution.
• Providing customer training and clear, professional technical advice.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and documenting technical work.
• Hands‑on training and opportunities to develop your technical skills.
