Job summary

EHS Assess Pty is seeking a Consulting Expert/Scientist/Occupational Hygienist to lead complex investigations, assess risks, gather evidence and prepare technical reports.

Approximately 60% fieldwork and travel and 40% reporting, with flexibility and autonomy. Travel across Melbourne, regional Victoria, Australia, and potentially internationally. If you’re not able to travel, this role is not for you. The position offers hybrid working and exposure to unusual investigations.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree or equivalent background.
• Exceptional initiative and ability to work autonomously.
• Outstanding organisation and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deal calmly with challenging or volatile people and situations.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• The ability to learn quickly and respond to changing demands.
• A current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations, assess risks, gather evidence, solve problems, and prepare technical reports.
• Travel is a core requirement; frequent travel across Melbourne, regional Victoria, Australia and potentially internationally.
• Interact with clients and deliver findings in technical reports.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to recognise, evaluate and control risks.
• Maintain high standards of organisational and time management.
