Qualifications

• Qualifications in Work Health and Safety (HSE) with practical industry experience.
• Experience in an HSE advisory or operational safety role, ideally in construction, mining, heavy industry or similar high-risk environment.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory requirements, risk management principles and HSE management systems.
• Experience conducting workplace inspections, safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage, coach and influence employees and leaders at all levels.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and build positive stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSE advice, coaching and guidance to operational teams and site leadership.
• Identify risks through proactive inspections, audits, hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Support investigations and coordinate corrective and preventative actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training to encourage participation in HSEQ initiatives.
• Support implementation of HSE legislation, policies and site requirements.
• Develop practical risk controls with operational teams and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and monitor safety performance for continuous improvement.
