Job summary

Core Talent in Brisbane seeks an experienced Civil HSE Advisor to drive safety across civil construction and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland. The role involves hands-on site work with project teams to promote proactive safety, review procedures, and ensure WHS compliance.

You will conduct inspections, investigations, and risk assessments while partnering with Project Managers and subcontractors to implement practical safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as HSE Advisor/Safety Advisor/WHS professional within construction or high-risk environments.
• Civil infrastructure, roadworks, rail, or utilities exposure is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and construction compliance.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree) desired.
• ICAM investigation training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Promote a proactive safety culture across civil construction and infrastructure projects.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring.
• Review SWMS, risk assessments and high-risk construction activities.
• Work with Project Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors to identify and manage risks.
• Monitor WHS legislation compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
• Support incident investigations, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
