Job summary

Brunel, partnered with a Queensland construction group, seeks an HSE Advisor to support Brisbane projects. You will work with project management and site teams to maintain high safety standards and manage risk across commercial, industrial, education, health, and defence projects.

This Brisbane-based role offers a five-day week and opportunities for long-term progression within a well-established contractor, with a strong focus on proactive safety culture and continuous improvement on site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Safety Advisor or HSE Advisor role within construction.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of site safety through regular inspections, audits, risk assessments and proactive hazard management.
• Lead safety initiatives, toolbox talks and inductions that drive engagement and accountability across site teams.
• Partner with project leadership to manage risk, investigate incidents and implement effective preventative measures.
• Work closely with subcontractors and supervisors to strengthen SWMS, risk controls and safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company procedures and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety systems, processes and overall site performance.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting while promoting a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.
