Job summary

Hinchen Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Environment Business Partner to support Queensland operations across quarries, batching plants, asphalt and recycling facilities. The role focuses on translating environmental obligations into practical on-site solutions, driving compliance, risk management and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will engage with Quarry Managers and regional teams, conduct inspections, audits and reporting, and coach site personnel to strengthen

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals and licence conditions.
• Experience applying environmental monitoring and risk management on heavy industry sites.
• Ability to translate regulatory obligations into practical operational solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to strengthen environmental compliance and site performance.
• Conduct site inspections and environmental audits to identify risks and improvements.
• Provide practical advice on approvals, licence conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Support monitoring programs for water, dust, noise, emissions and other site obligations.
• Coordinate reporting including annual returns and NPI submissions.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions with root-cause analysis.
• Review management plans and operating conditions to maintain compliance.
• Advise on land disturbance, vegetation clearing and water management at sites.
• Coach site personnel to build environmental capability and accountability.
• Liaise with regulators, consultants and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to environmental strategy and improvement projects.
