Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the onsite team for Chevron's Gorgon Brownfields Construction scope in Western Australia. The role requires managing QA/QC inputs and outputs to ensure project quality outcomes and compliance with UGL and Chevron requirements.

This site-based (2:2) position emphasizes delivering safe, timely scope completion, adherence to installation practices, and strong liaison with clients and subcontractors to maintain project quality and regulatory

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Minimum 5 years experience in oil & gas or similar environments.
Excellent attention to detail and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Facilitate a safe and productive working environment.
Review and verify work packs for accuracy, completion and compliance with standards.
Ensure work meets acceptance criteria, client specs and Australian Standards.
Support QA/QC in audits, inspections and quality reporting.
Liaise with Chevron, subcontractors and UGL team members on quality matters.
Manage and schedule quality activities per inspection plans.
Provide input to upcoming scopes to ensure quality delivery from design to completion.
