Job summary

Genus Services is seeking an experienced Field Contract Manager to join our Sydney team. This field-focused role oversees and manages field aspects of telecommunications contracts, ensuring contractors meet contractual, commercial, customer, safety and quality outcomes.

You will audit field work, monitor performance, and coordinate safety and quality requirements with project teams, clients and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing field-based resources in a medium to large services business.
• Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time and to quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Autonomy and sound judgement in day-to-day operations.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field-based activities across assigned contracts.
• Develop and maintain relations with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Conduct regular field audits with focus on safety and quality.
• Ensure Safe Work Method Statements and Technical Work Instructions are followed.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Manage contractor escalations with management, SHEQ and clients.
• Investigate customer complaints and ensure rectification actions.
• Run toolbox meetings with contracted suppliers.
• Liaise with project teams on workflow and field delivery.
• Identify non-conformances and implement remedial actions.

Education

Certificate III or higher telecommunications trade qualification

Current C Class Driver’s Licence

Construction Industry White Card

Excellent client relationship and account management skills

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement

The Role

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Previous experience managing field-based resources within a medium to large services business
• Experience delivering projects safely, on time and to required quality standards
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
• Strong field-based safety and quality focus
• Excellent client relationship and account management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to manage day-to-day operational issues with autonomy and sound judgement
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• The ability to analyse information and prioritise customer requirements
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Competency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Construction Industry White Card

A Certificate III or higher/equivalent telecommunications trade qualification and previous experience within telecommunications, utilities, construction or resources will be highly regarded.
