Job summary

AstraZeneca Australia is seeking a Field Clinical Advisor to support cell therapy trials across oncology and related indications. The role is based in Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney, requiring strong site engagement, protocol expertise and cross-functional collaboration to improve site readiness and patient recruitment.

You will work closely with internal teams and trial sites to drive operational improvements, ensure adherence to GCP, and travel nationally to support study sites and program

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline is required.
• 5+ years in clinical research, trial operations or field-facing scientific roles.
• GCP knowledge and understanding of the cell therapy patient journey.
• Ability to deliver protocol education and influence without authority.
• Field-based experience supporting sites with strong engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally to support study sites.

Responsibilities

• Champion patient recruitment, retention and safety across cell therapy trials and support enrolment.
• Act as trusted field contact and protocol expert for sites with education and training.
• Collaborate with investigators to activate referral networks and remove enrolment barriers.
• Resolve clinical and operational challenges and drive root-cause analyses.
• Translate field insights into actionable recommendations to improve site strategy.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to provide seamless site support.
• Develop training, SOPs and playbooks to scale AstraZeneca Australia's cell therapy function.
