Job summary

AstraZeneca Australia seeks a Field Clinical Advisor to lead protocol expertise for cell therapy trials, enhancing site readiness and patient recruitment. This field-based role covers Australia, with a focus on oncology and immune therapies, and requires travel to support sites and program priorities.

Reporting to the Senior Director, you will educate sites, partner with investigators, and drive operational improvements to lift site performance. Melbourne or Sydney based, permanent full-time.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in clinical research, clinical trial operations or field-facing scientific roles.
• Demonstrated GCP knowledge and understanding of the cell therapy patient journey.
• Proven ability to deliver protocol education and influence site actions.
• Territory- or field-based experience with strong partner engagement and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally to support study sites and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the protocol expert and pipeline ambassador for cell therapy trial sites across Australia.
• Improve site readiness, enhance patient journey, support recruitment and retention.
• Provide advanced education and practical training to sites on protocol delivery.
• Collaborate with investigators and site teams to translate eligibility criteria into workable pathways.
• Resolve operational challenges and drive root-cause analysis to reduce deviations and screen failures.
• Develop training, SOPs and playbooks to scale AstraZeneca Australia's cell therapy function.
