Job summary

AstraZeneca Australia is seeking a Field Clinical Advisor with site-facing expertise in cell therapy to enhance trial delivery, patient recruitment and site performance. The role is based in Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney, with national travel to support sites and programs.

You will act as protocol expert, educate sites, and collaborate across Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Patient Operations, Supply & Logistics, and Country Operations to drive readiness and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in clinical research, clinical trial ops, or field-facing roles with oncology/haematology.
• GCP knowledge and understanding of cell therapy patient journey.
• Ability to deliver protocol education and translate requirements into site actions.
• Field-based experience supporting customers or trial sites with strong engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally to support study sites.
• Patient- and site-centric, data-informed problem solving; comfortable in scale-up environments.

Responsibilities

• Champion patient recruitment, retention and safety across assigned trials.
• Deliver education and training to sites to strengthen readiness and delivery.
• Partner with investigators to turn eligibility criteria into workable pathways.
• Resolve clinical/operational challenges with root-cause analysis.
• Translate field insights into recommendations to improve strategy and site performance.
• Collaborate across Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Patient Operations, Supply and Logistics, and Country Operations for seamless site support.
• Develop training, SOPs and playbooks for the cell therapy function.
