Job summary

City of Tea Tree Gully is seeking a Field Officer, Civil Maintenance to carry out a wide range of general civil maintenance tasks across the city. You will work hands-on in the field, delivering quality works safely and to council standards.

Based in Golden Grove, the Civil Maintenance team looks after footpaths, kerbs, paving and stormwater assets, delivering planned and reactive works to keep streets and public spaces safe, accessible and well maintained for the community.

Qualifications

• White Card and construction safety compliance.
• WZTM/TMI1 and TC1 traffic management qualifications.
• South Australian HR licence required.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Assist with removal and reinstatement of concrete footpaths and kerbs.
• Carry out stormwater and creek maintenance tasks.
• Operate civil plant, backhoes, excavators, and tipper trucks.
• Set up temporary traffic management and site safety controls.
• Complete site risk assessments per WHS procedures.
• Occasional out-of-hours work.
