Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Training Specialist to build workforce capability within mining operations in rural NSW. You will lead onboarding, training and competency development across field and operational teams, ensuring practical, hands-on learning that improves safety and performance.

You will conduct competency assessments, support training system records and compliance, and partner with leaders to strengthen skills.

Qualifications

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Enterprise Trainer/Assessor Skillset is required.
Operational experience within mining, processing, maintenance or another heavy industry environment.
Experience delivering training, inductions, coaching, mentoring or competency assessments.
Familiarity with INX/Quartex Intuition or similar training management systems would be advantageous

Responsibilities

Build workforce capability through onboarding, training and competency development programs.
Deliver engaging one on one, field based and group training across operational teams.
Conduct competency assessments and verification of competency activities.
Support the ongoing development of training systems, records and compliance requirements.
Partner with leaders and crews to strengthen skills, knowledge and operational performance.
Promote a strong safety culture through practical coaching and mentoring in the field
