• Knowledge of work health and safety, risk management, and compliance in mining, construction, or renewables sectors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse learners and clients.
• Solid organisational and administrative skills, including accurate recordkeeping and documentation.
• On-site work in Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and surrounding NSW with some travel to satellite or client sites.

Role Description

The Trainer Assessor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubbo, NSW.

The Trainer Assessor will deliver nationally recognised training programs across the our scope of delivery, facilitate classroom and practical sessions, and assess learner competency in line with relevant standards and industry requirements. Daily responsibilities include preparing training materials, conducting assessments, maintaining accurate training records, and providing feedback and support to learners to help them achieve their qualifications. The role also involves ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational policies, contributing to continuous improvement of training content and delivery, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to align training with operational and safety needs.

Qualifications

• Relevant training and assessment qualifications (e.g., current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent) and experience delivering nationally recognised training in mining, construction, or related sectors.


• Strong instructional and assessment skills, including the ability to plan sessions, facilitate both theory and practical learning, and apply competency-based assessment methods.


• Knowledge of work health and safety practices, risk management, and compliance requirements, preferably within mining, construction, or renewables environments.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners, provide constructive feedback, and build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.


• Solid organisational and administrative skills, including accurate recordkeeping, use of cloud-based management or learning systems, and attention to detail in documentation.


• Ability to work on site in Dubbo, Wagga Wagga and surrounding NSW, including occasional travel to satellite or client locations as required, and capability to deliver practical, hands-on training safely.


• Current industry experience and vocational qualifications relevant to the training being delivered (e.g., mining operations, construction, safety) are highly desirable.


• Current driver's licence and the right to work in Australia; additional certifications such as first aid or emergency response training are an advantage.
